We got a phone call from an old friend, said she wanted to celebrate her husband's birthday on Halloween day and decided to treat her whole family and a few friends a halloween-themed birthday celebration at her house. She requested us to make a few dozen halloween-themed cupcakes.
This proves to be a challenge for us. We sure don't want to spoil a perfectly planned party so we designed our cupcakes from scratch, put into use our newly gained experience in shaping plastic icing, and the results are fantastic!
There's this witch's hat delicately cushioned with smooth orange buttercream, a white monster spider stanced on top of a melted chocolate, a Jack-o-Lantern floating on top of a smoky white buttercream, and even a BLACK, yes, BLACK buttercream topping (on the picture, it is on the corner farthest from the camera).
They're really enchanting to look at, and when you eat them, you will always want more!
After the party, we received good comments about the cupcakes. Kids and adults alike, loved them!
